BOHRER crate washing systems are complete solutions tailored to the customer’s exact requirements.

Their appeal lies in their clear, user friendly and long-lasting hygiene concept in a modular system of construction, as well as the latest energy-saving components. Depending on the particular series and type of crate washer, our cleaning technologies are used either altogether or in combination. As a manufacturer with significant depth of production, we use only stainless steel for our crate washers along with high quality plastics and branded components from leading manufacturers. This guarantees functionality and a future-proof investment. Thanks to our innovative modular design, we are able to adapt our crate washers efficiently to meet highly diverse performance needs and to upgrade them for any future cleaning requirements.


Drive and control

We use only branded components from leading manufacturers for the drive and control systems of our crate washers. This means original spare parts can be supplied for many years to come.


Coarse dirt removal

Where necessary, coarse dirt, bottles and broken glass are already removed in a crate turning station before the crate enters the washer.


PET discharge

Where necessary, PET bottles deformed, wedged or stuck in drinks crates can be reliably removed by our PET discharge station.


Turbo immersion soaking bath

Crate dirt of any kind is gently pre-soaked in the turbulent hot lye flow of a thermally insulated energy-saving immersion bath.


Adjustable crate turning

In multiple lane systems the crates undergo high pressure cleaning in manually or motor-adjustable crate turners by individually adjustable spray nozzles (patented).


High pressure cleaning

Firmly attached labels, bar codes, price tags or stickers are reliably removed inside or outside the crate washer by a high pressure unit equipped with our patented adjustable nozzles


BOHRER patented spray nozzles

Whether used to deluge with water or for high pressure label removal – our patented nozzles with a bayonet holder distribute the water evenly from all sides.


High-tech permanent filtration

Solids and suspended matter in the washing lye are removed by special permanent filters. They filter the washing lye even during the automatic back-flushing.


Brush station

For crates which are extremely dirty, a separate motor-driven brush station for the crate side faces is integrated into our crate washers.


The interior

The clear construction and well-laid-out piping allow servicing and routine cleaning work to be dealt with quickly and easily.


CIP cleaning

To streamline the weekly, time-consuming cleaning of the machine’s interior, it is possible to install a fully automatic CIP cleaning system.


Bottom sludge fast removal

To prolong the service life of the lye and keep machine cleaning as simple as possible, a patented bottom sludge fast removal device is installed in every immersion bath.


Gentle container conveyance

Besides cleanliness, handling the crates gently has top priority. Hence we use only stainless steel hinged plate chains for straight-line conveyance and rubberised clamping jaws in the turning units..


Optimised crate conveying path

Besides the saving on weight, the openings in the conveyor belt allow visual inspection of the conveyor chain.


Equipment compartments

All units such as pumps and filters are installed in the machine’s equipment compartments for easy of servicing. Large pneumatic pivot doors make access easy.


Retained moisture blow-off

Depending on the crate throughput, we offer a retained moisture blow-off unit either integrated in the machine or externally following on. The air knives can be adjusted individually to the compartments.


Continuous dirt discharge

Labels and stickers floating in the turbulent immersion soaking bath are discharged from the machine automatically via a continuously running long-life plastic filter belt.


Vapours extraction

To reduce the humidity in the wet section, the vapours at the machine’s inlet and outlet are extracted via a ventilator and piping, both made of stainless steel.
